Got paid for taking pictures, changed my major. Worked as a waitress. Had my own dog.

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

GIRL POWER! [Dec. 4th, 2007|10:56 pm]
I don't care if it's 2007, the Spice Girls are still my favorite band.

I think they really need a Leia Spice to round things out.

There's more to life than books, you know. [Jan. 31st, 2007|12:34 am]
[Tags|, , ]

So, I've pretty much abandoned this thing. And to be honest, I very rarely ever think about writing in here. I realized tonight that its because I am finding it harder and harder for me to say what I'm thinking. I don't know when it happened, I guess its been a slow process. I am just very unsure of myself as of late. I don't feel like I have anything to offer.

It isn't just online that I have this problem either. Tonight at Six Pence I found myself writing my feelings on the table with my finger without even realizing it. That can't be healthy. It can not be a good thing that my mind has come up with this strange way of expressing myself that I am not even aware of. My mind is so desperate for someone to hear what I am thinking that its writing my thoughts on a table with my hand while my conscious mind is unaware.

I often stay silent when I have things to say. I often don't volunteer myself for jobs or duties I might be fabulous at out of fear that I will disappoint. I find myself unhappy a great deal of the time because I am not creating anything, not helping anyone.

I don't think I have always been like this. I have very interesting and amazing friends and I know they must have seen something in me that peaked their interest. Perhaps one day I will see it too, or maybe I will get more and more afraid of myself and sink more and more into silence.

This thing got creepier and creepier! [Jan. 10th, 2007|03:44 am]
[Tags|, , , , ]

(Click here to post your own answers for this meme.)

I miss somebody right now. × I don't watch much TV these days. I own lots of books.
I wear glasses or contact lenses. I love to play video games.  (I hate watching people play video games.) I've tried marijuana.
I've watched porn movies. I have been the psycho-ex in a past relationship. I believe honesty is usually the best policy.  (But not always the most practical.)
I curse sometimes. I have changed a lot mentally over the last year.  (Eh...) × I carry my knife/razor everywhere with me.
it goes on... )

Perhaps only funny to those who have lived in St.Louis:

"At first, most American's believed that if a world fair honoring the deepest roots of the nation were to be held anywhere, the site should be Washington, the capital. Initially, even Chicago's editors agreed. But then, suddenly New York and St.Louis wanted the fair. Washington laid claim to the honor on the grounds that it was the center of government, New York because it was the center of everything. No one cared what St.Louis thought, although the city got a wink for pluck."

~ The Devil in the White City
A Non-fiction book about the World Fair of 1889 which was held in Chicago

Reason # 675 I love Billy Joel [Oct. 6th, 2006|11:36 pm]
[Tags|, , , , ]

Slow down you crazy child
You're so ambitious for a juvenile
But then if you're so smart tell me why
Are you still so afraid?
Where's the fire, what's the hurry about?
You better cool it off before you burn it out
You got so much to do and only
So many hours in a day

But you know that when the truth is told
That you can get what you want
Or you can just get old
You're gonna kick off before you even get halfway through
When will you realize...
Vienna waits for you

Slow down you're doing fine
You can't be everything you want to be
Before your time
Too bad but it's the life you lead
You're so ahead of yourself
That you forgot what you need
Though you can see when you're wrong
You know you can't always see when you're right

You got your passion you got your pride
But don't you know that only fools are satisfied?
Dream on but don't imagine they'll all come true
When will you realize
Vienna waits for you

Slow down you crazy child
Take the phone off the hook and disappear for a while
It's alright you can afford to lose a day or two
When will you realize...
Vienna waits for you.

Why don't you realize...Vienna waits for you
When will you realize...Vienna waits for you
